Dance into 2020 at Lula Lounge!
If you wish you were spending the holidays somewhere tropical this year but couldn’t get away, New Year’s Eve at Lula Lounge is your ticket to a one-night exotic vacation.
The exuberant rhythms of live salsa music, the pulsating dance floor, and the flavours of Latin-American and Caribbean-inspired dishes and cocktails will transport you far away from the icy streets of Toronto.
If the idea of salsa dancing makes you nervous, fear not! There is a beginners’ salsa lesson with Baila Boogaloo Dance Co. before the band gets started, with no partner necessary!
To keep you on the dance floor after the lesson, Lula’s team has planned two high energy sets of live music performed by the vibrant salsa orchestra Havana Ventu, led by Cuban percussionist and composer Magdelys Savigne and featuring special guest drummer Frank Martinez. Between live sets, a DJ will spin salsa, bachata, merengue, reggaeton and top 40 to keep the party moving.
Lula’s special New Year’s Eve menu will feature a seared scallop risotto, roasted beef tenderloin and a coconut rum creme brulée. Chef Randal Harrison also offers a complete vegan menu that includes a grilled vegetable stack, portobello mushroom and lentil agnolotti. (to see full menus, click here).
Our expert team of bartenders and mixologists will keep the party fueled with a steady stream of Lula’s signature mojitos, margaritas, caipirinhas, and other cocktails, as well as a selection of fine beer and wine.
Options for the evening include a full dinner and dancing prix fixe, with a four-course meal and a guaranteed table all night long, an early-seating dinner option with the same four-course meal, and a table from 6:30-8:30; or dancing only. Each option includes a midnight toast with bubbly.
Lula Lounge is Toronto’s home for live music, attracting visitors from across the globe with a program of high calibre performers, friendly staff and exotic cocktail and dinner menus.
